Last updated: June 2026

In plain English: we collect the details you give us so we can match you with suitable showrooms and introduce you to them. We never sell your information, and you stay in control of it. The full detail is below.

This policy explains what personal information Curated Showrooms collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We've written it in plain English — if anything is unclear, just ask.

01 Who we are

Curated Showrooms ("we", "us", "our") is a home-improvement matchmaking service that connects homeowners with hand-picked, carefully vetted independent showrooms across the UK. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the "data controller" responsible for the personal information described here.

Curated Showrooms is operated by [your legal or trading name] , [your registered business address] . [If you are registered with the ICO, add: Our ICO registration number is [number].] You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@curatedshowrooms.co.uk .

02 The information we collect

If you're a homeowner making an enquiry

When you complete our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and postcode, along with the project category, budget range and timeline you select, and any details you choose to share about your project.

If you're a showroom applying to join

When you apply to join our network, we collect your business name, contact name, email address, phone number, category, location and the description of your showroom that you provide.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit our website, we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, through cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies and analytics below.

03 How we use it

We use homeowner information to review your enquiry, identify and match you with suitable showrooms, introduce you to them, and follow up on how your project is progressing. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in providing the matchmaking service you've asked us for, and taking the steps you've requested.

We use showroom information to assess applications and manage our relationships with partner showrooms. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests and, where relevant, taking steps towards a contract.

We use technical information to operate, secure and improve the website, and — where you've agreed — to measure and improve our advertising. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests and, for non-essential cookies, your consent .

We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to or otherwise opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Our lawful basis for this is your consent .

04 Sharing your information

Matched showrooms. The heart of our service is introducing you to the right specialists. So when we match you, we share your enquiry details with those specific showrooms so they can help with your project and get in touch with you. We ask them to use your details only for that purpose. We never sell your information, and we don't add you to anyone's marketing lists.

Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the business — for example our website host, our form-submission provider, our email provider, and analytics and advertising platforms. They process information on our behalf, under agreements that require them to keep it secure and use it only as instructed.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information where we're required to by law, or where it's necessary to protect our rights, our users or others.

05 Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential for the site to work. Others are optional — for example [Google Analytics] helps us understand how the site is used, and the [Meta / Facebook pixel] helps us measure and improve our advertising.

We only use non-essential cookies with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through our cookie settings or your browser settings. [Update this section once your cookie-consent tool is in place, and list the specific cookies used.]

06 International transfers

Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK — for example, in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards to keep your information protected to UK standards, such as UK "adequacy" regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

07 How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry information only for as long as we need it to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards — normally up to [24 months] — unless you ask us to delete it sooner, or we're required to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. After that, we securely delete it.

08 Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
  • ask us to provide it in a portable format; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@curatedshowrooms.co.uk . We'll respond within one month.

09 How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, and we work only with providers who are required to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we treat your information with care at every step.

10 Children

Our service is intended for adults planning home-improvement projects and is not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or what the law requires. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "last updated" date shown at the top.

12 Contact and complaints
